Ingredients:
1/4 lbsFrim tofu
4 tbspWater
1 cupWhole wheat flour
1/8 tspBlack pepper
1/4 tspSalt
1/2 medHead cabbage
1 tbspCorn oil
8 cupBoiling water
1 eachBay leaf
1 tbspSoy sauce
Chopped scallions
Procedures:
1Dumplings: blend tofu with water till smooth.
2Sift dry ingredients.
3Stir in tofu mixture.
4Knead for 1 minute, form into ? balls & set aside.
5Soup: mince core of cabbage & shred leaves finely.
6Heat oil in soup pot.
7Add cabbage & saute over medium heat til golden.
8Add water & bay leaf.
9Return to a boil, add dumplings, cover & simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
10The dumplings should be floating on the top at this point.
11Remove bay leaf.
12Dilute soy sauce in a bit of the broth, add to the soup.
13Simmer for another 5 minutes.
14Serve, garnishing with scallions.
