Ingredients:

| cup | AM Garbanzo Flour | | 1
| cup | Cold water | | 1
| med | Onion | | 2
| | Garlic cloves | | | ?bn Fresh parsley | | | Hot green pepper (to taste) | | | -- minced | | 1/2
| tsp | Cumin | | | Salt and pepper | | 1/4
| tsp | Non-alum baking powder | | 1
| pinch | Baking soda |

Procedures:
| 1 | Mix all ingredients, except soda, together in a food processor or blender. | | 2 | Mix thoroughly. | | 3 | (falafel may be frozen at this stage. | | 4 | Thaw completely before adding soda and cooking). | | 5 | When ready to fry, mix in the soda. | | 6 | Shape into small patties, 1-?inches in diameter and ?inch thick. | | 7 | Fry in deep, hot oil until lightly browned and crisp. | | 8 | Serve hot with tomatoes in pita bread. | | 9 | Add cucumber pickles if desired. |
