Ingredients:
2 lbsBeef stew meat, cut into
1-inch cubes
2 tbspCooking oil
3 cupWater
1 largeOnion, chopped
2 tspPepper
1 tspTo two teaspoons salt
1 1/2 tspGarlic powder
1 tspRosemary, crushed
1 tspDried oregano
1 tspDried basil
1 tspGround majoram
2 Bay leaves
1 can(6-oz.) tomato paste
2 cupCubed peeled potatoes
2 cupSliced carrots
1 largeGreen pepper, chopped
1 packFrozen green beans (10-oz.)
1 packFrozen peas (10-oz.)
1 packFrozen corn kernels
1/4 lbsMuxhrooms, sliced
3 medTomatoes, chopped
Procedures:
1Brown meat in oil in a dutch oven.
2Add water, onion, seasonings and tomato paste.
3Cover and simmer for 1-?hours or until meat is tender.
4Stir in potatoes, carrots and green pepper; simmer 30 minutes.
5Add additional water if necessary.
6Stir in remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
7Yield: 10 - 12 servings.
