Ingredients:
5 Bacon: fried, crisp, crumbled
1 1/2 cupChicken, cooked, cubed
1 packVegetables, mixed, frozen*
1 1/2 cupCheddar Cheese, shredded
2 Tomatoes, medium, chopped*
1 canSoup, Cream of Chicken*
3/4 cupMilk
1 1/2 cupBiscuit Baking Mix
2/3 cupMilk
1 canFrench Fried Onions*
Procedures:
1*1 package (10 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained.
2*1 can (10 ?ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup *1 can (2.8 ounces) durkee french fried onions.
3Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
4In large bowl, combine bacon, chicken, mixed vegetables, 1 cup cheese, the tomatoes, soup and ?cup milk.
5Pour chicken mixture into greased 8x12 inch baking dish.
6Bake, covered, at 400 °F for 15 minutes.
7Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine baking mix, 2/3 cup milk and ?can french fried onions to form soft dough.
8Spoon biscuit dough in 6 mounds around edges of casserole.
9Bake, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
10Top biscuits with remaining cheese and onions; bake 1 to 3 miutes or until onions are golden brown.
11Makes 6 servings.
12~------------microwave directions------- prepare chicken mixture as above, except reduce ?cup milk to ?cup; pour into 8x12 inch microwave safe dish.
13Cook, covered on high 10 minutes or until heated through.
14Stir chicken mixture halfway through cooking time.
15Prepare biscuit dough as above.
16Stir casserole and spoon biscuit dough over hot chicken mixture as above.
17Cook, uncovered, 7 to 8 minutes or until biscuits are done.
18Rotate dish halfway through 06/01/92 7:05 pm cooking time.
19Top biscuits with remaining cheese and onions; cook, uncovered, 1 minute or until cheese melts.
20Let stand 5 minutes.
