Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter
3 1/2 lbsRound Steak, Bonless *
1 cupOnion, Chopped
1 1/2 cupGreen Bell Pepper, Chopped
1 lbsMushrooms, Sliced
1/2 cupUnbleached Flour
2 cupBeef Broth, Canned/Homemade
1 cupWhite Wine, Dry
1 tbspSalt
1 tbspWorcestershire Sauce
1 xTabasco Sauce, To Taste
Procedures:
1* round steak should be cut into thin strips.
2++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ melt ?cup butter in a large frypan.
3Brown meat over medium-high heat.
4Remove browned meat.
5In remaining butter, saute onion for 2 minutes.
6Add green bell pepper and mushrooms.
7Cook an additional 3 minutes.
8Melt ?cup butter and add flour.
9Slowly add beef broth; cook until thickened.
10Stir in wine and seasonings.
11Add meat and mushroom mixture.
12Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour, until meat is tender.
13Serve with buttered noodles or dumplings
