Hot n' spicy beef burgers

Ingredients:
1 lbsGround Beef (85% lean)
1 1/2 tspJalapeno Peppers , chopped
1/2 tspGround Cumin
1/2 tspSalt
1/8 tspPepper
1/4 cupMonterey Jack Cheese
/shredded (about 1 oz.)
4 sliceTomato
4 eachHamburger Buns
Procedures:
1Combine ground beef, jalapeno peppers, cumin, salt and pepper; mix lightly but thoroughly.
2Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions; shape into ?inch thick patties, 4 inches in diameter.
3Place patties on grid over medium coals.
4Grill 7 to 9 minutes, turning once.
5Sprinkle 1 tablespoon cheese on each burger 1 minute before end of cooking time.
6Place tomato slice on bun bottom; top each with grilled burger and cover with roll top.
7To check temperature, cautiously hold hand about 4 inches above coals, medium coals will force removal of hand in 4 seconds.
