Italian tomato sauce

Ingredients:
3 tbspOlive oil
2 cupChopped onions
1 medBell pepper, diced
2 tspBasil
1 tspOregano
1 tspThyme
1 1/2 tspSalt
13 ozCanned toamtoes, chopped
6 ozTomato paste
1 tbspHoney
Black pepper, lots
6 eachGarlic cloves, minced
Parsley
Procedures:
1Heat olive oil in a dutch oven.
2Add onion, bell pepper, herbs & salt.
3Saute over medium heat until the onion is fairly soft, 8 to 10 minutes.
4Add tomatoes, tomato paste, honey & black pepper.
5Bring to a boil.
6Lower heat & simmer, partially covered, for 20 to 30 minutes.
7Add garlic & cook 10 minutes more.
8Either let the sauce sit for a couple of hours or serve now.
9Serve over spaghetti & with homemade garlic bread.
