Ingredients:

| lbs | Loaf of French bread | | 8
| oz | Cream cheese, cubed | | | - (1 package) | | 8
| | Eggs | | 2 1/2
| cup | Milk, light cream or | | | - half and half | | 6
| tbsp | Margarine or butter, melted | | 1/4
| cup | Maple syrup |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cut french bread in cubes. | | 2 | Place half of bread cubes in bottom of a greased 3-quart casserole dish. | | 3 | Sprinkle cubed cream cheese on bread. | | 4 | Add remaining bread cubes. | | 5 | In a large bowl, beat until well blended the eggs, milk, melted margarine or butter and maple syrup. | | 6 | Pour mixture over bread cubes and press down with a spatula. | | 7 | Cover with plastic wrap. | | 8 | Refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours. | | 9 | Remove wrap and bake at 325 °F for 35 to 40 minutes. | | 10 | Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. | | 11 | Serve with hot butter syrup. | | 12 | Serves 6 to Preparation time: 15 minutes baking time: 35 to 40 minute |
