Karen's meatless chili

Ingredients:
1/2 cupOil
2 Onions, chopped
4 Garlic cloves, minced
3 Jalapeno chilies, minced
3 cupTVP flakes or granules
5 tbspChili powder
1 tspCayenne pepper
1 tspGround cumin
1 1/2 tspSalt, or to taste
1/4 tspBlack pepper
2 tbspMolasses
1 tbspApple cider vinegar
16 ozTomato sauce
6 cupWater
1/2 cupNutritional yeast
Procedures:
1Heat oil in large soup pot.
2Saute onions in oil over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly browned.
3Add garlic and jalapeno peppers; cook and stir for another minute.
4Stir in remaining ingredients, lower heat and cover.
5Simmer for at least one hour, stirring occasionally.
6Cooked beans may be added near the end of cooking period, if desired (adjust seasonings to taste).
7Serve chili topped with diced onions, sliced olives, avocado chunks, chopped cilantro leaves or your favorite garnishes.
