Lentils with garlic & onion

Ingredients:
4 tbspVegetable oil
1/2 tspCumin seeds
4 Garlic cloves, chopped
1 medOnion, chopped
1 cupLentils, washed & drained
3 cupWater
1 tspSalt
1/4 tspCayenne
Procedures:
1Heat oil over medium heat.
2When hot, add cumin seeds & let sizzle for a few seconds.
3Add the garlic & stir-fry till the garlic changes colour.
4Put in the onion & stir-fry until they begin to brown at the edges.
5Add the lentils & water.
6Bring to a boil, cover & simmer for about an hour, or until the lentils are tender.
7Add salt & cayenne.
8Stir to mix & cook another 5 minutes
