| tsp | Baking powder | | 2
| tbsp | Water, ice | | 1

Procedures:
| 1 | The almonds need not be blanched, just sliced fine. | | 2 | Sift flour and baking powder together, then set aside. | | 3 | Cream the eggs and sugar thoroughly. | | 4 | Add the extract and water and beat hard. | | 5 | Add the sliced nuts and flour, beating lightly until thoroughly mixed. | | 6 | Pour the batter into a greased pan, sprinkle sugar over the top and bake at 350°F until brown. | | 7 | Allow the cake to cool in pan before cutting in slices |
