Ingredients:

| cup | Butter | | 3
| cup | Sugar | | 5
| | Egg, well beaten | | 1
| cup | Cream | | 1
| tsp | Soda | | | *dissolved in: | | 1/4
| cup | Water, boiling | | 4
| cup | Flour |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream butter and sugar together until well blended. | | 2 | Beat the eggs and add. | | 3 | Stir in the dissolved soda. | | 4 | Sift the flour and add alternately with the cream. | | 5 | Mix thoroughly. | | 6 | Dough must be stiff enough to roll- add more flour if needed. | | 7 | Chill for several hours. | | 8 | Roll out thin on floured board and cut with fancy cookie cutters. | | 9 | Bake at 350°F about 12 minutes |
