Ingredients:

| cup | Sugar | | 1/3
| cup | Butter | | 3
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1
| cup | Milk | | 1/2
| tsp | Vanilla | | | Whipping cream | | 2
| | Egg, well beaten | | 2
| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Lemon juice | | 1 1/2
| cup | Peaches, chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | May use either fresh or canned peaches. | | 2 | Cream the butter and sugar, and add the eggs and beat thoroughly. | | 3 | Sift the dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk. | | 4 | Fold in the peaches, lemon juice and vanilla. | | 5 | Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat and fry until golden brown. | | 6 | Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar |
