Eva miracle meringue topping

Ingredients:
1 tbspCornstarch
2 tbsp-Cold water
1/2 cup-Boiling water
3 Egg whites, at room temp
6 tbspSugar
1 tspVanilla
Procedures:
1Moisten the cornstarch with the cold water.
2Stir in the boiling water.
3Cook and stir until thickened and clear - done in seconds.
4Cool completely.
5Beat the egg whites until firm, gradually add the sugar, then beat in the cornstarch mixture and vanilla.
6Presto! makes enough for one large pie or 2 smaller ones.
7Spread it to the edge of the filled pie and put it in the oven at 425f for 5 to 6 minutes to gild the top
