| 1 | This recipe can be used for pies, tarts, cheesecake or quiche. |
| 2 | It makes a nice flaky shell. |
| 3 | Place 1 cup of flour in a bowl with a little salt and 1 tsp sugar. |
| 4 | Cut in one stick of cold butter on top and mix until it is the texture of golden meal. |
| 5 | If ambient temperature in kitchen is high, then chill flour and bowl in freezer for up to 1 hour. |
| 6 | Add 6 tbs of cold heavy cream (or whipping cream). |
| 7 | Process in food processor until dough forms a ball. |
| 8 | Turn out on a board or counter, dust lightly with flour and roll to shape. |
