Ingredients:
7 Apples, golden delicious
2 tbspFlour
1/4 tspSalt
Pastry for a 2 crust 9" pie
2 tbspRum
1/4 cupBrown sugar
1/2 tspCinnamon
1/8 tspNutmeg
1/4 cupChopped nuts
2 tbspButter
Procedures:
1Combine apples with brown sugar,flour,spices and salt.place in a 9" pastry lined pie plate.flute edges of crust.sprinkle apples with nuts and rum;dot with butter.roll out remaining pastry.cut into ? strips.arrange strips in a lattice pattern,atop of pie.
2Rum sauce: combine 1 cup sugar,?cup water and ?tsp. of cinnamon in medium size saucepan.bring to a boil.boil 5 minutes over medium high heat,stirring constantly.gradually,blend together 2 tbsp. cornstarch and a ?cup of cold water.stir into hot sugar mixture.cook and stir until thickened.stir in ?cup rum;cool slightly.serve warm with pie
