Maple syrup pie

Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter, melted
1 cupHeavy maple syrup
1/2 cupBrown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tspSalt
4 Eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cupPecan halves
1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
Sweetened whipped cream
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350 °F.
2Blend together butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, and salt.
3Stir in eggs, mixing until well blended.
4Add pecans and pour into unbaked pie shell.
5Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until firm.
6Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
7Note: for a less rich pie, use only half the amount of butter.
