Gooseberry cobbler

Ingredients:
2 cupFlour
1/2 cupCorn meal plus 2 Tb
1/2 tspBaking powder
1 tspSalt
3/4 cupButter or margarine
3/4 cupBoiling water
2 ea Cans (15 oz) sweetened
Whole gooseberries
1 tspHoney
Juice of ?lemon
Procedures:
1Sift the flour with ?cup corn meal, baking powder and salt.
2Using pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter or margarine.
3Quickly add the boiling water, mixing in well.
4Divide the dough in half, and pat half of it in a buttered 8"x8"x2" baking pan.
5Sprinkle with 1 tb corn meal.
6Mash half of the gooseberries in their syrup, then stir in remaining gooseberries, honey and lemon juice; pour over the dough.
7Top with remaining dough; sprinkle with remaining tb corn meal.
8Bake in very hot oven (425°F) oven for 30 minutes, or until top is lightly browned.
9Cut into squares and serve
