Miniature pecan pies

Ingredients:
1/2 cupSugar
1 cupSyrup, dark corn
2 tbspButter (or marg.)
1/4 tspSalt
3 Eggs
1 cupPecans, coarsely chopped
1/2 tspVanilla extract
16 Tart shells (2"), unbaked
Procedures:
1Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
2Remove from heat.
3Break eggs into a medium bowl; remove 1 tablespon egg white, and set aside.
4Beat remaining eggs with a fork until well combined.
5Gradually add hot mixture to beaten eggs, stirring constantly.
6Stir in pecans and vanilla.
7Beat reserved egg white until foamy; lightly brush on each side of tart shell.
8Spoon filling into tart shells, filling ?full.
9Bake at 450 °F for 5 minutes; reduce heat to 325 degrees, and bake 12 minutes or until filling is set.
