Ingredients:

| cup | Light corn syrup | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar | | 3
| oz | Chocolate, usweetened, chopped | | 3
| tbsp | Butter | | 3
| | Eggs, large | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1 1/2
| cup | Pecans, chopped | | 1
| | Pie shell, 9" unbaked |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350°F. | | 2 | Stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. | | 3 | Remove from heat. | | 4 | Add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth. | | 5 | Whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt. | | 6 | Stir in pecans. | | 7 | Pour filling into crust. | | 8 | Bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes. | | 9 | Cool slightly. | | 10 | Serve warm or at room temperature |
