Fudge-pecan pie

Ingredients:
1 cupLight corn syrup
3/4 cupSugar
3 ozChocolate, usweetened, chopped
3 tbspButter
3 Eggs, large
1 tspVanilla
1/4 tspSalt
1 1/2 cupPecans, chopped
1 Pie shell, 9" unbaked
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350°F.
2Stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.
3Remove from heat.
4Add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.
5Whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.
6Stir in pecans.
7Pour filling into crust.
8Bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes.
9Cool slightly.
10Serve warm or at room temperature
