Pastel de manzana - apple mint crisp

Ingredients:
1 tbspButter, softened
1 cupSugar
1 cupFlour
1/2 tspBaking powder
1 Egg
1 tbspDried mint leaves
1 tbspGround cinnamon
4 medCooking apples, peeled
-cored and cut into ?
-slices
1 cupHeavy cream, whipped
Procedures:
1Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
2Coat the bottom and sides of an 8"x8"x2" baking dish with the butter.
3Set aside.
4Combine the sugar, flour, and baking powder - sifting them together into a bowel.
5Make a well in the center and drop in the egg.
6Mix together until the egg is absorbed into the flour.
7In a large bowel, mix together the mint and the cinnamon.
8Add the apples and toss until the apples are coated.
9Arrange the slices in the baking dish and scatter the flour mixture over them, spreading and pressing gently to cover the apples completely.
10Bake in the oven center for 45 minutes, or until the top is crusty.
11Serve at room temperature accompanied by the whipped cream
