Ingredients:
4 1/2 cupBaking apples
-peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cupWater
1 tbspButter or margarine
1/4 tspGround cinnamon
1/4 tspGround nutmeg
3 ozPkg Peach Jello
3 ozVanilla pudding mix
Cook & Serve*
*NOT INSTANT
1 Pastry shell 9" baked
TOPPING
1/4 cupGraham cracker crumbs
1 tb
1 1/2 tspGranulated sugar
Butter, melted
Procedures:
1Source: heartland cb by marcia adams in a large sauce pan, combine apples, water, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; bring to a boil.
2Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes or until the apples are tender.
3Gradually stir in gelatin and pudding; bring to a boil.
4Remove from the heat; let stand 5 minutes.
5Pour into pie shell.
6Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over filling.
7Chill 3-4 hours or until firm.
8Yield 6-8 servings
