The Icebox apple pie is the name of the recipe.
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cupBaking apples
-peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cupWater
1 tbspButter or margarine
1/4 tspGround cinnamon
1/4 tspGround nutmeg
3 ozPkg Peach Jello
3 ozVanilla pudding mix
Cook & Serve*
*NOT INSTANT
1 Pastry shell 9" baked
TOPPING
1/4 cupGraham cracker crumbs
1 tb
1 1/2 tspGranulated sugar
Butter , melted
Procedures:
Step one:Source : heartland cb by marcia adams in a large sauce pan , combine apples , water , butter , cinnamon and nutmeg; bring to a boil.
Step two:Reduce heat; simmer , uncovered for 5 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Step three:Gradually stir in gelatin and pudding; bring to a boil.
Step four:Remove from the heat; let stand 5 minutes.
Step five:Pour into pie shell.
Step six:Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over filling.
Step seven:Chill 3-4 hours or until firm.
Step eight:Yield 6-8 servings
