Ingredients:

| | Pound beef rump steak | | 4
| tbsp | Vegetable oil | | 8
| | Green onions | | 2
| | Cloves garlic | | 1
| | Piece fresh ginger root | | 2/3
| cup | Unsalted roasted cashews | | 1/2
| cup | Water | | 4
| tsp | Cornstarch | | 4
| tsp | Soy sauce | | 1
| tsp | Sesame oil | | 1
| tsp | Oyster sauce | | 1
| tsp | Chinese chili sauce |

Procedures:
| 1 | Remove and discard fat from meat. | | 2 | Cut meat across the grain into thin slices about 2 inches long. | | 3 | Heat 2 tablespoons of the vegetable oil in wok over high heat. | | 4 | Stir-fry half of the meat in oil until brown, 3 to 5 minutes. | | 5 | Remove from wok. | | 6 | Cook remaining meat and remove from wok. | | 7 | Cut green onions into 1/inch pieces. | | 8 | Crush garlic. | | 9 | Pare ginger and chop finely. | | 10 | Heat remaining 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in wok over high heat. | | 11 | Add onions, garlic, ginger and cashews. | | 12 | Stir-fry 1 minute. | | 13 | Mix meat into cashew-vegetable mixture. | | 14 | Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over meat mixture. | | 15 | Cook and stir until liquid boils and thickens. | | 16 | Recipe courtesy of: catherine vanicek, 26 mar 93 19:13:0 |
