Ingredients:
1 largeOnion
6 Cloves garlic
1 ozFresh ginger
1 lbsFrozen spinach, thawed
1 cupPlain yogurt
4 ozButtermilk
2 tspRed chili powder
2 tspGaram masala
1 cupHalf and half
6 ozPaneer, a homemade cheese
Salt to taste
Procedures:
1Grind the onion, garlic, and ginger into a fine paste.
2In a medium saucepan, combine the paste, spinach, yogurt, buttermilk, chili powder, and garam masala.
3Simmer at medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
4Mash the ingredients with a potato masher.
5Add the half and half.
6Simmer until the mixture has a creamy consistency, 10 to 15 minutes.
7Add the cheese, simmer 5 minutes.
8Season with salt.
9Makes 4 to 6 servings
