Ingredients:
2 Jars Marinated artichoke hea
1/4 cupOlive oil
2 cupOnions, chopped
2 tbspGarlic, minced
1/2 tspDried oregano
1/2 tspDried basil
1 tbspBlack pepper, coarsely groun
1/2 tspSalt
Pn Dried red pepper flakes
1 canPlum tomatoes, with juice, (
3/4 cupParmesan cheese, fresh grate
1/4 cupFresh italian parsley, chopp
Procedures:
1Recipe by: the new basics cookbook drain the artichoke hearts, reserving the marinade.
2Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan.
3Add the onions, garlic, oregano, basil, black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, and reserved artichoke marina translucent, 10 minutes.
4Add the tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes.
5add the artichoke hearts, parmesan, and parsley.
6Stir gently, and simmer another 5 minutes.
