| cup | Plus 2 tbsp sugar | | 1
| tsp | Dijon mustard | | 3/4
| tsp | Turmeric | | 1/4
| | Generous tsp celery seeds | | 1/4
| | Generous tsp ground cloves | | 1/4
| | Generous tsp ground cinnamon |

Procedures:
| 1 | Makes about 4 cups finely chop first 3 ingredients in processor. | | 2 | Bring all remaining ingredients to boil in heavy medium saucepan. | | 3 | Add chopped vegetables. | | 4 | Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes,stirring occasionally (mixture will be thin) cool, cover and refrigerate until well chilled. | | 5 | (can be prepared 5 days ahead). | | 6 | Drain before serving. |
