Ingredients:

| cup | Farina | | 1
| cup | Water | | 1
| med | Yellow onion, finely chopped | | | 2 ea Green chiles, chopped | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tbsp | Cilantro, chopped | | 1/4
| cup | Cashews, chopped | | 2
| tbsp | Coconut cream | | 3/4
| tsp | Ginger, minced | | | Oil for deep-fat frying |

Procedures:
| 1 | Bring water to a boil. | | 2 | Place farina in a bowl & add the water stirring as yuo add, to make a dough. | | 3 | Add onions, chiles, salt, cilantro, cashews, coconut cream & ginger. | | 4 | Mix well. | | 5 | Take 2 tb of the dough mixture & form into a thick round patty. | | 6 | Cut with a doughnut cutter or use your fingers to make a hole in the centre. | | 7 | Repeat with the remaining dough. | | 8 | Heat vegetable oil & fry the vadas 4 at a time for about 10 minutes, turning as necessary. | | 9 | Drain on paper towels & serve hot with chutney. | | 10 | Pranati sen gupta, "the art of indian cuisine |
