Lemon basil herbed rice

Ingredients:
2 tbspButter
3 tbspOnion, finely chopped
1 cupRice, uncooked
1/4 cupLemon basil, chopped/fresh
1 smallBay leaf
1 tbspParsley, chopped
Tabasco sauce to taste
2 1/2 cupChicken stock
Salt & white pepper to taste
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 400 °F.
2Melt the butter in an ovenproof saucepan.
3Add the onion and cook until it is softened and translucent--about 5 minutes.
4Add the rice and cook, stirring, over medium heat for 3 minutes.
5Add lemon basil, the bay leaf, parsley, tabasco and stock.
6Bring to boil, cover tightly and transfer to the oven.
7Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
8Remove the bay leaf.
9Add salt and white pepper to taste.
10With a fork, fluff rice and serve.
