Meatball cakes with beer rice

Ingredients:
MEATBALL CAKES
1 lbsGround Veal
1 lbsGround Pork
1/4 cupFlour
1 tbspSalt
1/2 tspPepper
4 Eggs
1/2 cupLight Cream or Half & Half
1 cupMilk
1 largeOnion, chopped
1 tbspButter or Shortening
BEER RICE
2 1/2 tbspOlive Oil
1 cupRaw Long Grain Rice
10 1/2 ozCondensed Onion Soup
10 1/2 ozBeer
Procedures:
1*** meatball cakes *** brown onions in butter or shortening for 5 minutes, set aside to cool.
2In a large bowl place the ground meats.
3Using an electric beater on low speed, add the flour, salt, pepper, then the eggs one at a time, then the cream and milk.
4Finally add the onions, mixing all well.
5Shape into 6-8 oval cakes.
6Fry on both sides about 30 minutes or bake uncovered for 45 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven *** beer rice *** heat oil over medium heat.
7Add rice and brown lightly stirring constantly.
8Add soup and beer, stir well.
9Sover tightly and simmer until all liquid is abosrbed, about 25 minutes.
