Orange chicken on rice

Ingredients:
3 lbsMEATY CHICKEN PIECES
1 tspSALT
1/4 cupBUTTER
2 tbspFLOUR
1 tbspBROWN SUGAR
1/2 tspCURRY POWDER
1/8 tspCINNAMON
1 each1" PIECE OF GINGER ROOT
1 1/2 cupORANGE JUICE
1/2 cupRAISINS
1/2 cupCHOPPED PECANS
2 eachORANGES, CUT INTO WEDGES
4 cupHOT COOKED RICE
Procedures:
1Sprinkle chicken with ?teaspoon salt.
2Heat butter in large skillet and brown chicken pieces.
3Remove chicken fron pan.
4Combine flour, ?tea- spoon salt, sugar, curry powder and cinnamon.
5Stir into pan drippings to make a smooth paste.
6Add ginger and orange juice.
7Cook, stirring constantly until sauce bubbles and begins to thicken.
8Return chicken to pan and raisins.
9Cover and cook over low heat for 40 to 50 minutes, until chicken is tender and cooked through.
10Add nuts and orange slices.
11Heat through.
12Spoon cooked rice onto large platter and top with chicken pieces and some of the sauce.
13Serve remaining sauce on the side in a gravy boat
