Ingredients:
1 cupBrown rice
1 medOnion -- chopped
1/2 cupPlain lowfat yogurt
3 tbspCold water
1 1/2 tbspLow sodium soy sauce
3/4 tspGarlic powder
1/4 tspPepper
3/4 tspGinger
2 cupCooked shrimp
1 1/2 cupGreen beans -- cut
1 cupBean sprouts
1 cupRed and green bell peppers

Procedures:
1Preparation: bring rice, chopped onion and 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan; cover and simmer 45 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
2Blanch (or thaw) cut fresh (or frozen) green beans.
3Whisk together the yogurt, water, soy sauce, garlic powder, pepper and ginger in a small bowl and set aside.
4Sort and clean the shrimp.
5To serve: photo shows salad served on a bed of rice
