Seasoned rice pilaf

Ingredients:
2 tbspButter
1 Onion, small, chopped
2 cupRice, long grain
2 cupChicken broth or bouillon
1 3/4 cupWater
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 tspOregano or thyme
1/4 tspPepper
Procedures:
1Place rice into a strainer and hold under cold running water.
2Rinse rice until water runs clear.
3Place butter and onion into inner pan.
4Cook onion until soft (about 3 to 5 minutes).
5Pour in rice and cook about 5 minutes longer, stirring often.
6Add remaining ingredients.
7Cover and cook until chime rings.
8Allow pilaf to stand 10 minutes or warm before serving.
9Time: 50 minutes.
