Ingredients:
3 lbs4-Inch Cucumbers
5 medOnions
1 tbspMustard Seed
1 quartCider Vinegar
1 cupSugar
2 tspPickling Salt
Procedures:
1Wash the cucumbers, quarter them lengthwise, and soak them in ice-water for 2 hours.
2Peel and slice the onions and pack them in the bottoms of 5 pint jars.
3Pack the cucumbers lengthwise in the jars.
4Combine the mustard seed, vinegar, sugar and salt, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
5Fill the jars to overflowing with the boiling-hot syrup and seal.
6Makes 5 pints
