Ingredients:
BROWNIE LAYER
6 tbspUnsalted butter or margarine
6 ozSemi-sweet chocolate
3/4 cupAll purpose flour
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
3/4 cupLightly brown sugar, packed
2 largeEggs
1 tbspInstant espresso coffee
CHEESECAKE LAYER
8 ozCream cheese, softened
1/2 cupSugar
2 tbspAll purpose flour
2 largeEggs
3 tbspKahlua or strong coffee
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 tspGround cinnamon
SOUR CREAM LAYER
1 1/2 cupSour cream
1/3 cupSugar
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch pan.
3Brownie layer: melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat.
4Set aside to cool.
5Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
6In a large bowl beat brown sugar, eggs, powdered coffee and vanilla until blended.
7Stir in cooled chocolate mixture.
8Spread batter in an even layer in prepared pan.
9Cheesecake layer: beat cream cheese, sugar and flour in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until pale and fluffy.
10Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
11Beat in liqueur, vanilla and cinnamon.
12Carefully pour over brownie layer and spread in an even layer.
13Bake 20 minutes until the top is almost set.
14Meanwhile make sour cream layer: mix sour cream and sugar.
15After bars have baked 20 minutes, remove pan from oven and carefully spread sour cream mixture over top.
16Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer.
17Cool pan completely on wire rack before cutting in bars.
18makes 24 bars.
