Ingredients:
1/3 cupTHINLY SLICED GREEN ONIONS
2 tbspMARGARINE
2 tbspFLOUR
2 1/4 cupSKIMMED MILK, DIVIDED
1 cupSHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
1/4 tspDRY MUSTARD
1/8 tspPEPPER
1/8 tspHOT SAUCE
4 cupCOOKED MACARONI
1/4 cupWHOLE WHEAT BREAD CRUMBS
2 tbspPARMESAN CHEESE
1/8 tspPAPRIKA
Procedures:
1Coat a sauce pan with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
2Add onions; saute 2 minutes or till tender.
3Add margarine; stir until margarine melts.
4Add flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly with a wire whisk.
5Gradually add 2 cups milk and cook 15 minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly.
6Remove from heat; add cheddar cheese stirring until cheese melts.
7Stir in ?cup milk, mustard, pepper and hot sauce.
8Combine cheese mixture with macaroni in a 1 ?quart baking dish, sprayed with cooking spray; stir well.
9Combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and paprika; sprinkle over top of steak.
