Ingredients:

| lbs | Ground beef | | 1/2
| cup | Chopped onion | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Garlic powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Ground pepper | | 1
| each | Loaf french bread | | 2
| cup | Sour cream | | 2
| each | Tomatoes, seeded and diced | | 1
| each | Large green pepper, diced | | 3
| cup | Shredded cheddar cheese | | | Butter |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion. | | 2 | Drain. | | 3 | Add salt, garlic powder and pepper. | | 4 | Cut bread lengthwise in half; butter both halves and place on baking sheet. | | 5 | Remove meat mixture from the heat; stir in sour cream. | | 6 | Spoon onto the bread. | | 7 | Sprinkle with tomatoes, green pepper and cheese. | | 8 | Bake at 350 °F for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted (bake longer for crispier bread). | | 9 | Lifted from dec/jan 94 taste of home magazine |
