Ingredients:
1 cupWheat germ
1/2 cupPlain yogurt
1/2 cupShredded Monterey Jack
Cheese
1/4 cupChopped almonds
2 tbspParsley -- chopped, fresh
2 tbspGreen onion -- finely
Chopped
1/2 tspOregano
1/4 To ?tsp. cumin
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspGarlic powder
2 tbspOil
1 cupPlain yogurt
2 tspHorseradish
Mustard
1/2 tspTarragon
1/4 tspBasil
1/8 tspSalt
1 cupAlfalfa sprouts
Procedures:
1In a medium bowl, combine ?cup wheat germ, ?cup yogurt, cheese, almonds, parsley, onion, oregano, cumin, ?tsp. salt and garlic powder.
2Shape into 16 small flat patties.
3Coat with ?cup wheat germ.
4In a small skillet, heat oil.
5Brown patties 2 minutes on each side.
6Combine 1 cup yogurt, the mustard, tarragon, basil and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
7Place 2 or 3 patties in each pita half; top with sprouts.
8Spoon dressing over sprouts.
