Ingredients:
3 cupRolled oats, not instant
3 cupFlour, all purpose, sifted
1 cupBrown sugar
1 tspBaking soda
2 tsp-Salt
1 1/2 cupShortening
2/3 cup-Cold water, up to ?cup
Procedures:
1Combine oats, flour, sugar, soda and salt.
2Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives until the mixture is crumbly.
3Using a fork, gradually add enough water for moisture to form a ball.
4Roll out ? thick on a lightly floured board.
5Cut into circles and place on greased baking sheet.
6Bake at 350f for 15 minutes.
7Yield about 4 dozen, depending on spoon size.
