Ingredients:

| cup | Rolled oats, not instant | | 3
| cup | Flour, all purpose, sifted | | 1
| cup | Brown sugar | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 2
| tsp | -Salt | | 1 1/2
| cup | Shortening | | 2/3
| cup | -Cold water, up to ?cup |

Procedures:
| 1 | Combine oats, flour, sugar, soda and salt. | | 2 | Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives until the mixture is crumbly. | | 3 | Using a fork, gradually add enough water for moisture to form a ball. | | 4 | Roll out ? thick on a lightly floured board. | | 5 | Cut into circles and place on greased baking sheet. | | 6 | Bake at 350f for 15 minutes. | | 7 | Yield about 4 dozen, depending on spoon size. |
