| 1 | Warm a heavy pot. |
| 2 | Put in first 8 ingredients, warm thoroughly. |
| 3 | Remove from heat and add next 6 ingredients. |
| 4 | Return to low heat and mix until bubbly. |
| 5 | Dampen and dice bread. |
| 6 | Add to mixture and stir well. |
| 7 | Add ground beef and cook for 15 minutes. |
| 8 | Fill a shallow greased casserole dish with baboti mixture. |
| 9 | Beat egg with milk. |
| 10 | Add salt and pepper to taste. |
| 11 | Pour over baboti mixture. |
| 12 | Bake at 350 for 45 minutes (until custard is golden). |
| 13 | Serve with yellow rice and salad. |
