Scalloped potatoes au gratin

Ingredients:
4 medPotatoes, peeled and thinly
-sliced
3 tbspFlour
1 tbspSalt
1 cupGrated sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cupMilk, scalded
2 tbspButter or margarine
Paprika
Procedures:
1Arrange ?of the potatoes in the bottom of a shallow, 1 ? quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.
2Combine flour and salt in a small bowl and sprinkle ?of the mixture over potatoes.
3Sprinkle half of the cheese over potatoes.
4Repeat with remaining potatoes; flour mixture and cheese.
5Pour scalded milk over last cheese layer.
6Dot with butter and sprinkle with paprika.
7Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 12 to 14 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted.
8Variation: if desired, fresh broccoli or cauliflower may be sub- stituted for potatoes.
9The cooking time will be reduced to 8 to 10 minutes in step If you prefer to use frozen broccoli or cauli-flower, thaw before using.
