Firecracker brownies

Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 cupSugar
1 1/2 tspVanilla extract
3 Eggs
3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 cupHERSHEY's Cocoa
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupHERSHEY'S Chocolate Chips
- (Semi-Sweet)
1/2 cupCoarsely chopped nuts
- (optional)
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350°F.
2Grease 8-inch square baking pan.
3In bowl, stir together butter, sugar and vanilla.
4Add eggs; with spoon, beat well.
5Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended.
6Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
7Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
8Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
9Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
10Cut into bars.
11About 16 brownies.
