Ingredients:

| oz | Tomato sauce | | 15
| oz | Turkey, ground -- raw | | 1
| med | Onion -- diced | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tbsp | Caraway seed | | 1
| tbsp | Chili powder -- (maybe 2 t) | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Cumin | | 1/2
| tsp | Garlic powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Oregano -- ground | | 1
| tsp | Celery seed |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash beans. | | 2 | Cover with water and soak in the refrigerator overnight or a minimum of four hours at room temperature. | | 3 | Put water, beans, and salt in a soup pot and cook until beans are soft, approximately one hour. | | 4 | Add water when necessary to keep beans covered. | | 5 | Do not drain. | | 6 | Brown ground turkey and onion. | | 7 | Combine turkey mixture, beans, tomato sauce and spices in soup pot. | | 8 | Simmer over low heat for one or two hours. | | 9 | Add water to achieve desired consistency. | | 10 | Makes approximately 1 ?cups per serving. | | 11 | each serving provides: 1 ?vegetables, 3 proteins and 10 optionals. | | 12 | recipe by : |
