| 1 | Peel, core and quarter the apples. |
| 2 | Heat oven to 375 deg f. |
| 3 | Have a 1 ?quart baking dish ready. |
| 4 | Mix all the crumb mixture ingredients together in a bowl until well blended. |
| 5 | Arrange half the apple pieces over the bottom of the baking dish. |
| 6 | Sprinkle with half the crumb mixture. |
| 7 | Dot with half the butter. |
| 8 | Repeat the layers. |
| 9 | Drizzle the water over the apples. |
| 10 | Cover and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until apples in center are tender. |
| 11 | Serve warm or at room temperature. |
