Ingredients:
COOKIE BAR
1 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 cupPacked brown sugar
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspGround cardamom
Or 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 cupApricot nectar or orange
Juice
1/4 cupUnsweetened applesauce
2 tbspCooking oil
1 Slightly beaten egg
1/2 cupFinely snipped dried apricos
1 Recipe Apricot Icing
APRICOT ICING
1/2 cupPowdered sugar
2 To three teaspoons apricot
Nectar or orange juice
Procedures:
1In a medium mixing bowl stir together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cardamom or cloves; set aside.
2Stir together apricot nectar or orange juice, applesauce, oil, and egg till combined.
3Sit in the snipped apricots.
4spread batter in an ungreased 11x7x1-?inch baking pan.
5Bake in a 350°F oven about 25 minutes or till a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean.
6Cool in pan on a wire rack.
7Drizzle with apricot icing.
8Cut into bars.
9Makes 24 bars.
