| 1 | Heat oven to 350°F. |
| 2 | In a large bowl, combine cake mix, margarine and egg. |
| 3 | Mix at low speed until crumbly. |
| 4 | Press into bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 pan. |
| 5 | Bake at 350°F. for 12 to 15 minutes. |
| 6 | Cool completely. |
| 7 | Spread ?cup frosting over the crust, reserving the remaining frosting for later use. |
| 8 | Arrange the bananas in a single layer over the frosting. |
| 9 | Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. |
| 10 | In a large bowl combine dissolved gelatin and frosting. |
| 11 | Beat until well mixed. |
| 12 | Add cream cheese and 1/3 of the whipped cream. |
| 13 | Beat until smooth. |
| 14 | Spread evenly over the bananas. |
| 15 | Top with the remaning whipped cream. |
| 16 | Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving. |
