Banana split sundae cookies

Ingredients:
1 cupMargarine or butter
-- softened
1 cupBrown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 cupMashed ripe banana
-- (about 4 medium)
2 Eggs
2 tspVanilla
2 1/2 cupQuaker Oats, uncooked
-- (quick or old-fashioned)
2 cupAll-purpose flour
1 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspSalt (optional)
6 ozSemisweet chocolate pieces
Ice cream or frozen yogurt
Ice cream topping
-- (any flavor)
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350°F.
2Beat together margarine and sugar until creamy.
3Add banana, eggs and vanilla; beat well.
4Add combined oats, flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
5Stir in chocolate pieces; mix well.
6Drop by ?cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart.
7Spread dough to 3-?inch diameter.
8Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
9Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
10Cool completely.
11To serve, top each cookie with a scoop of ice cream and ice cream topping.
