Okra cornmeal pudding with spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients:
8 ozSmall young okra
1 1/2 quartWater
1 tspSalt
2 cupCornmeal
2 cupSauce
Butter flavoring (optional)
Procedures:
1Stem and cut the okra crosswise into ? slices.
2Boil water, add salt and okra, cook on low heat (covered) 8 minutes.
3Remove cover, raise heat, and slowly stir in cornmeal.
4Lower heat and stir until mixture is very thick - about 6 minutes.
5Mixture should be smooth.
6off heat, add butter flavoring (if used).
7Pour into 1/12 quart pyrex-type dish (sprayed with butter spray, if desired).
8Spread out to fill dish.
9Let rest 2 minutes, invert onto serving plate.
10Serve with sauce on side.
