Ingredients:

| oz | Small young okra | | 1 1/2
| quart | Water | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| cup | Cornmeal | | 2
| cup | Sauce | | | Butter flavoring (optional) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Stem and cut the okra crosswise into ? slices. | | 2 | Boil water, add salt and okra, cook on low heat (covered) 8 minutes. | | 3 | Remove cover, raise heat, and slowly stir in cornmeal. | | 4 | Lower heat and stir until mixture is very thick - about 6 minutes. | | 5 | Mixture should be smooth. | | 6 | off heat, add butter flavoring (if used). | | 7 | Pour into 1/12 quart pyrex-type dish (sprayed with butter spray, if desired). | | 8 | Spread out to fill dish. | | 9 | Let rest 2 minutes, invert onto serving plate. | | 10 | Serve with sauce on side. |
