Ingredients:

| | Preserved malagueta peppers | | | -minced, or to taste | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| small | Onion, minced | | 1
| | Clove garlic, minced | | 5
| | Juice of 5 limes |

Procedures:
| 1 | Place the malagueta peppers and salt in a mortar and crush them with the pestle or process them in a blender or food processor until you have a thick paste. | | 2 | Gradually add the onion and garlic and continue to mash into the paste. | | 3 | Then add lime juice to the paste, mashing as you do, until you have a liquid sauce. | | 4 | Cover with plastic wrap, allow to stand at room temperature for half an hour, and serve. | | 5 | Makes about ?cup. |
