Beer and sauerkraut fudge cake

Ingredients:
2/3 cupButter
1 1/2 cupSugar
3 Eggs
1 tspVanilla
1/2 cupCocoa
2 1/4 cupSifted flour
1 tspBaking powder
1 tspSoda
1 cupBeer
2/3 cupSauerkraut
1 cupRaisins
1 cupChopped nuts
Procedures:
1Cream butter and sugar until light.
2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3Blend in vanilla.
4Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
5Add to creamed mixture alternately with beer, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
6Stir in sauerkraut.
7Raisins and nuts are optional.
8Turn into two 8 or 9 inch greased and floured cake pans.
9Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
10Cool and frost as desired
