Ingredients:

| cup | Brown sugar, firmly packed | | 1/2
| cup | Hot water | | 1
| cup | Seedless raisins | | 2
| tbsp | Butter | | 4
| tbsp | Cider vinegar | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Worcestershire sauce | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/8
| tsp | Black pepper, freshly ground | | 1/4
| tsp | Ground cloves | | 1/8
| tsp | Mace | | 1
| cup | Currant jelly |

Procedures:
| 1 | Simmer the brown sugar and water together for 5 minutes, stirring until sugar is dissolved. | | 2 | Add all remaining ingredients, and cook until jelly dissolves. | | 3 | Simmer an additional 10 minutes. | | 4 | May be made in advance and kept refrigerated until ready for use. | | 5 | Reheat slowly until simmering. |
